Iglesia Sembrando una Esperanza was planted by a team of World Impact Missionaries between 2002-2006. On June 28, 2006 Pastor Jorge Rivera was installed as pastor, and he was licensed for ministry on July 6, 2006.

Sembrando currently shares the love of Christ with South Los Angeles through home Bible studies, a weekly worship service, regular health fairs, retreats at the Oaks, and a variety of special outreach services.
