World Impact Teen Center
A new LAUSD school, West Adams Prep, opened in fall of 2007 for 2800 students in our gang-infested neighborhood. What a tremendous opportunity for World Impact! We have renovated a 9000-square-foot warehouse (circa 1935) across the street from this high school to use as a Community Center for Teens. We will provide academic tutoring, counseling, mentoring, discipleship, leadership development, drama productions, college SAT prep classes, vocational planning, music classes and worship classes. It will be a safe place to make friends. Design plans include a coffee bar, multi-media equipment, a stage, a graffiti and artists’ wall, a game room, a kitchenette and classrooms. Come join the celebration of this new center and learn how you can personally be involved. Help us train and equip leaders from the city!
